Steephill Cove

A pretty, hidden sandy cove along The Undercliff near Ventnor with a handful of traditional shacks, cottages, and cafes that feels like a step back in time. With no road access it is a tranquil spot to indulge in fresh lobster and crab, people watch and laze in a deck-chair with a coffee. The Cove’s Boathouse Restaurant cooks up the day’s catch from local fishermen and the Crab Shed features the catch of the day, fresh mackerel and the popular albeit small crab pasties. Access by walking the coast path around The Cove is highly recommended, otherwise there are carparks along Steephill Road.
