Getting there J12 off M27 onto A27 to  Chichester, then follow signs for the B2145 towards Selsey. Turn L (roundabout) B2166 to Pagham, then L onto Sea Lane. At end of Sea Lane go straight across junction to Pagham Beach car park.

Special points

Offshore wind: NW whilst on coast

Pagham harbour only accessible 2 hrs either side of HW.  At mid tide, the main channels are only accessible as mud banks dominate the harbour, water will rush in or out of the harbour entrance but this can be avoided by exiting the water, walking around the shingle banks and re-enter where the water has started to slow down. Trips to Sidlesham quay are best on a high spring tides. Landing on the mudbanks/reedbeds within the harbour is not permitted as they are sensitive wildlife environments.
