Langstone Harbour is home to an internationally important number of breeding seabirds and overwintering wildfowl. The scenery and wildlife can be enjoyed up close at the old Oysterbed lagoons on the Hayling Island’s north-west shoreline where you can look over the tidal mudflats, saltmarsh and seagrass meadows. It’s easy to access via the Hayling Billy Trail.  The RSPB name the star species here as Black-tailed godwit, Brent goose (image by David Mark from Pixabay), Dunlin, Little tern and Meditteranean gull.
